Lunch Address (Communication and Collaboration across the Organization)Tallahassee Community College's progressive approach to communications and collaboration has resulted in major gains in productivity for staff and faculty, and in information sharing with students and the public. Dr. Bill Law, TCC President, shares some of what it took to reach this point and the many benefits an organization with such a vision can enjoy. Track: All Location: TCC Student Union Ballroom Presenter Name: Dr. Bill Law, President, Tallahassee Community College Presenter Bio: Now in his twentieth year as a community college president, Dr. Bill Law can be described as a passionate advocate for education with a strategic vision for success. After serving previously at Montgomery College in suburban Houston and Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Ill., he became president of TCC on March 25, 2002. Dr. Law’s leadership has been instrumental in bridging the academic and business communities. His successes include: TCC 250, a program that works to increase enrollment in academic health care programs to meet community employer needs; an emphasis on the arts that culminated in the opening of the Hurst Gallery; and his leadership role on behalf of the Council on Community College Presidents for his work with the Florida Legislature. He also serves on numerous local boards including the Economic Development Council and Mary Brogan Museum. His drive, vision and passion make him a true asset to Tallahassee, the business community and the state education system. Dr. Law received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from LeMoyne College and both a master’s and Ph.D. in Design and Management of Postsecondary Education from Florida State University.
