Dr. Coleman is founder, CEO and Chairman of Cassatt, a world leader in innovative "green" solutions to improve resource, operational and energy efficiencies in data centers. Previously, he was the founder, CEO and Chairman of BEA Systems. Under his leadership, BEA became the fastest software firm to exceed $1 billion in annual revenue.

Dr. Coleman has more than 30 years of high-technology experience. As vice president of system software at Sun Microsystems, his team transformed SunOS into the commercially successful Solaris operating system.

While at Sun, he also founded Sun’s Professional Services Division and cofounded Sun’s Federal Division. Dr. Coleman began his career in the U.S. Air Force as Chief of Satellite Operations in the Office of the Secretary. He is President of the Colorado University Coleman Foundation for Cognitive Disabilities and sits on the board of directors of Symantec. In 2001, he was named Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” and Business Week’s “E-biz 25 Top Executives.” He is Chair of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and member of the Trilateral Commission.
